The Founder Advantage
A Rate You Lock Once. And Keep Forever.
Founders aren’t just early sign-ups. They’re the backbone of this academy. In return for believing first, you get the lowest price G13 Colorado will ever offer, protected for as long as you train. When we open and prices rise, yours doesn’t.
Uniform & Rashguard Included
Your one-time $100 registration covers your first official G13 uniform and rashguard, ready to pick up at your first class. You step on the mat fully kitted from day one.
Only 50 Spots
Founder access is capped at 50 memberships. The list is first come, first served. Once the spots are claimed, the founder rate is gone. Public pricing is significantly higher.

Who You Will Meet
Real People on the Mat, From Day One
A room is only as good as the people standing in it. Here is who is standing in this one.
Carlos Eduardo “Kadu”
Featured Black Belt Athlete
Kadu is our featured black belt athlete, and he is G13. He did not come to us from outside the family, he came up inside it, under the same system and the same standard this room is built on. Over forty titles, a Pan-American championship won at fourteen, and back to back NAGA Philadelphia titles. Having that level of jiu-jitsu in the room raises the standard for everyone who trains here, from the very first class on.
- 40+ Titles
- IBJJF Pan-Am Champion
- 2x NAGA Philadelphia
- 2025 NAGA NJ Absolute
Mike Barthlow
Co-Owner · Brown Belt
Mike came to jiu-jitsu from Division One college athletics and a career as a Marine officer. He is a brown belt, and he won the Masters 5 Open Class world title as a blue belt. He and Lori built a school around its community once before, and they are doing it again here for Longmont and the towns around it.
- Brown Belt
- Masters 5 Open Class Champion
- Division I Athlete
- Former Marine Officer
Lori Barthlow
Co-Owner · Mental Performance Coach
Lori runs G13 Colorado alongside Mike. She is a mental performance coach and a former collegiate All-American gymnast, so she knows the sport side from the inside. Mind Over Athlete is her own practice, and it is where the harder half of jiu-jitsu gets dealt with: the nerves, the bad weeks, the voice that says you do not belong here yet.

The network behind the name
This is what a G13 mat looks like.
The academy in Longmont is new. The system is not. These are G13 Cary and G13 Holly Springs in North Carolina, where the curriculum, the belt pathway and the standard for the room come from.
Photos from G13 Cary and G13 Holly Springs, North Carolina. Same curriculum, same belt pathway, same standard. Longmont opened the week of September 21 and photos of our own mat replace these as soon as we have them shot.
