How it works

Three steps, and none of them cost anything.

1

Pick a time

Choose a class from the list below. It takes about thirty seconds and we never ask for a card.

2

Show up in a t-shirt

T-shirt and shorts or leggings, nothing with zippers or pockets. We have everything else. Arrive fifteen minutes early.

3

Train, or just watch

Step on and try it, or sit on the side and see a full class first. Both are completely normal here.

What is under the mats

Most gyms roll mats onto concrete. We built a floor first.

G13 Colorado sits on a judo subfloor: a floating platform under the mats that absorbs impact instead of sending it into your joints. You feel the difference the first time you get taken down, and you really feel it the next morning.

Competition matsThe surface you train on, same standard as the rest of the G13 network.
Judo subfloorA floating deck that flexes on impact. This is the part almost nobody installs.
Concrete slabWhere most academies put the mat directly, with nothing in between.
Parents

Kids fall constantly. That is the whole sport. The floor is what makes falling boring instead of scary.

Adults over 35

You have a job on Monday and a family that needs you healthy. Training hard should not cost you your knees.

Wrestlers

Offseason is here. Drill takedowns at full weight without paying for it in your back and shoulders.

Who you will meet

Real people, on the mat, from day one.

Mike Barthlow

Co-Owner · Brown Belt

Mike came to jiu-jitsu from Division One college athletics and a career as a Marine officer. He is a brown belt, and he won the Masters 5 Open Class world title as a blue belt. He and Lori built a school around its community once before, and they are doing it again here. He is on the mat for every intro class, so if you show up, you meet him.

Carlos Eduardo “Kadu”

Featured Black Belt Athlete

Kadu is our featured black belt athlete, and he is G13. He came up inside the same system this room is built on, not from outside it. Having that level of jiu-jitsu on the mat raises the standard for everyone who trains here, from the first class on.

Reserve your spot

Save your place on the mat.

Classes start when we open on September 15, 2026. Spots in each intro class are limited so everyone gets attention, so pick your day now.

1. Who is coming to class?
2. Pick your class

Bring a friend. Nothing to buy, nothing to sign.

3. How do we reach you?

No card, no contract, nothing to cancel. We will confirm your spot before class.

Already decided?

The first 50 members lock their rate for life.

You do not have to decide anything to take a free class. But if you already know you want to train, founding members keep their rate for as long as their membership stays active, across every program we run now and every one we add later.
